More and more, patients are looking for complementary medicine to enhance their health and wellness. This Level I IPS curriculum begins with the foundational elements of health. You will receive a high level overview of the concepts and language of complementary medicine, including diet, stress management, movement and exercise, positive lifestyle habits, and nutritional medicine. This five module curriculum, totalling 5.75 credit hours, will prepare you for the next levels of advanced studies, where we will study many of the other areas where complementary healthcare can be beneficial. 

freeCE offers pharmacy technicians and their supervising pharmacist the flexibility to complete this essential instruction and the required hands-on vaccine administration training at their own pace. This 6-credit program is broken into 6 required modules, which allows pharmacies to follow the guidance set by the HHS Prep Act without Zoom meetings or out-of-town travel. Once you've passed, and if you're a PTCB-certified pharmacy technician (CPhT), you'll have the option to apply for the PTCB Immunization Administration Exam.

At some point, everyone ponders whether the “War on Drugs” will ever end? Didn’t the “Just Say No” campaign eradicate addiction, drug overdoses, and drug diversion? When should healthcare professionals expand their respective knowledge base on substances of abuse? Just. Say. NOW.

This 19.75-hour specialty certificate, consisting of 13 activities/modules, will be an in-depth exploration of substances of abuse including dynamic pharmacology aspects for all healthcare professionals to immediately utilize to improve their own respective patient care.

The Pharmacy Spanish Specialty Certificate provides pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with knowledge and skills needed to provide a high level of care for Spanish-speaking patients and their families. In the day-to-day management of patients in any healthcare setting, it is crucial for pharmacists (and pharmacy technicians) to cement their current roles as well as expand into new roles.

This certificate program is delivered in a modular format with content in manageable pieces of information. The modules include active learning exercises (IPractiquemos! / Let’s Practice!) that allow learners to demonstrate their understanding of the topic, as well as assessments that provide feedback to the learner before moving onto the next lesson.

Pharmacists are becoming more involved in direct patient administration of long-acting injectable medications that range in scope from psychiatric to gynecologic applications. The preparation and administration of these drugs, however, can be much different from other injectables. This series seeks to build a foundation for pharmacists to confidently consult with patients and administer long-acting injectables drugs.

This 5-hour program utilizes video resources so that the learner can observe proper injection techniques first-hand and covers related scenarios that pharmacists who administer long-acting injectables may come across.  Examples such as billing and payment options are explored to aid in improving patient access and strategies for identifying and providing appropriate interventions during a mental health crisis are also covered.
